Absolutely, yes. Acacia wood is not only safe for food, but it’s a top-notch choice for a chopping surface.

Do I need to oil the board before first use?

No need to worry about oiling it right out of the box! The Prep Board comes pre-oiled and ready to go. 

 

We do recommend giving it a quick wash and dry before you dive into your first chopping session, just to remove any dust from the packaging and shipping

 

A gentle wash with warm soapy water, a thorough dry, and you’re all set to start slicing and dicing!

Can I use the stainless steel trays in the oven?

Yes, absolutely! Not only are the trays oven-safe, but they’re also perfectly fine to pop in the fridge and the dishwasher. 

 

So feel free to use them for baking, chilling, or cleaning up without any fuss. They’re as versatile as you need them to be.

Does the Prep Board damage knives?

Nope, not at all! The Prep Board is designed with your knives in mind. It’s made from Acacia wood, which is naturally gentle on blades, so it helps keep them sharper for longer. You can chop and slice to your heart’s content without worrying about dulling your knives. It’s a win-win for both your prep work and your fancy knives 🔪.

Care & Maintenance

How do I clean the Prep Board?

Cleaning the Prep Board is easy as pie. Just wash it gently with warm, soapy water after use and dry it thoroughly with a towel. 

 

There’s no need to soak it or put it in the dishwasher—just a quick hand wash will do the trick

 

Every now and then, you might want to give it a light coat of food-safe mineral oil to keep it in top shape, but otherwise, it’s low maintenance and ready for action.

How often should I re-oil the board?

About once a month is a great guideline, or just whenever the board starts to look a little dry. The best way to do it is to grab a bit of food-safe mineral oil, pour a little onto a paper towel, and gently wipe it into the wood. 

 

That’ll keep your board well-conditioned and ready for all your chopping adventures.

Can I put the board in the dishwasher?

It's best to keep the Prep Board out of the dishwasher. The high heat and water exposure can cause the wood to warp or crack over time. Instead, just give it a gentle hand wash with warm, soapy water and dry it off thoroughly. 

 

Only the stainless steel pans are dishwasher-safe, so you can pop those in without a worry.

Will the wood crack over time?

With a little regular care, the wood is designed to stay in great shape for the long haul. Acacia is a durable hardwood, and as long as you give it a little love—like regular oiling and avoiding the dishwasher—it should hold up beautifully without cracking. Of course, all wood can show a bit of character over time, but with the right care, your Prep Board will stay sturdy and reliable for years to come.

How should i store the Prep Board when i'm not using it?

To keep your Prep Board in top shape, it’s best to store it in a cool, dry place. You can either keep it flat on the countertop or stand it upright to let it breathe. Just avoid leaving it in direct sunlight or near any heat sources, and it’ll stay looking great for years. 

 

Basically, store it like you would any good piece of kitchen gear, and you’re all set!

We want you to love your Prep Board! If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied, you can return it within 30 days of purchase as long as it’s in its original unused condition. Just reach out to us, and we’ll help you with the return process. We’ll refund the full amount minus any shipping costs. Our goal is to make sure you’re happy with your purchase, no fuss.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, indeed!
